Branch no. 620064 The RNLI fund raising branch in Angmering has been generously supported by the villagers and the population of the surrounding areas for many decades. The Branch is run by a small Committee with the assistance of a loyal group of Helpers. A number of local businesses are also very supportive, regularly providing products and services as prizes for the charitable events which are run wholly for the benefit of the RNLI. The funds collected are all paid into the general account of the RNLI, although on certain occasions it goes directly to a specific fund within the RNLI, such as the Shoreham Appeal to re-build the boat house and equip it with a new boat. The funds raised in Angmering are generally in the range £4,000 to £5,000 annually. The major events run annually are:
There are other additional collections and events for time to time as and when the opportunity arises. A number of local Pubs and Clubs also hold Lifeboat boxes to enable anyone to donate 'spare change' if they wish to do so.
